Ali Darwin is the Chairman & Executive Director of the National Center for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR) since 2005. Ali Darwin actively disseminated the standards and concepts of sustainability reporting through various seminars, workshops and training in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. Ali Darwin is a member of the GRI Board, the Netherlands for the period 2010-2015.

At the corporate level, Ali Darwin served as Director of PT Timah Tbk (1996-2002), Deputy Managing Director of PT Aneka Gas Industri (2003-2004) and Independent Commissioner of PT Hero Supermaket Tbk (2014-2014).

Ali Darwin is an Accountant who graduated from the State College of Accounting (STAN) and obtained a Master of Management from London Business School, England. Ali was awarded the Honoris Causa Doctorate in Sustainable Development from American Trinity University, California U.S. (beginning of 2018).
